The movie's special effects are its biggest strengths. Hatchet 3 uses a lot less CG effects than other horror films. This allows for some truly frightening moments to be recorded in the movie.

The cast delivers a strong performance, with Kane Hodder being the most terrifying villain. The dialogue is sufficiently campy and witty to be reminiscent of a (blog) classic 1980s slasher film at moments. There are also some hilarious moments that stand out against all the heart-wrenching scenes.

Unfortunately, due to the small budget (1 million dollars), many of the locations are duplicates of earlier films. The boat house in Hatchet 2 was used only once, and the remainder of the footage seems like it's been reused from earlier films. It's almost like it's familiar to viewers who have seen Hatchet or Hatchet 2.

Overall, Hatchet 3 was a excellent series overall. There was plenty of gory thrills, and there were some great performances from the actors.
